The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 7.12% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Computer Support Specialists tops Caterpillar IT hiring in October 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Caterpillar, Computer Support Specialists emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 28.24% in October 2022, and a 311.11% rise over September 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 25.95% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 30.61%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 21.37% in October 2022, a 47.37% rise from September 2022.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 50.38% share, which marked a 10% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 38.17%, registering a 5.66% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 8.4% share and a 175% rise over September 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.29% and a month-on-month increase of 50%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.76%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 36.64% share in October 2022, a 26.32% growth over September 2022. US featured next with a 29.01% share, down 20.83% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 7.63% share, an increase of 233.33% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Caterpillar IT hiring activity in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.65%, up by 32.31% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.95% share, a decline of 20.93% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.63% share, down 9.09% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.76%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
