1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 71.01% in December 2021, registering a 15.52% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 12.08% share, a decrease of 21.88% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 8.21%, registering a 19.05% decline from November 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.31%, up 57.14% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 4.2% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s construction industry during December 2021 over November 2021.

Honeywell International posted 54 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a drop of 27.03% over the previous month, followed by Installed Building Products with 23 jobs and a 23.33% drop. Rockwell Automation with 14 IT jobs and Cummins with 13 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 7.14% decrease, respectively, while Shanghai Lingang Holdings recorded an increase of 900% with 10 job postings during December 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.6%, down by 6.58% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.94% share, registered a decline of 29.79% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.56% share, down 3.7% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.9%, recording a month-on-month decline of 40%.
