China’s construction industry registered an 11.0% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.36% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.85% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.18% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.97% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s construction industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 78.87% in March 2022, registering a 98.7% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.25% share, a decrease of 51.52% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 5.67%, registering a 37.5% rise from February 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.15%, up 150% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 103.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s construction industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Honeywell International posted 88 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 450% over the previous month, followed by Eaton Corporation with 13 jobs and an 116.67% growth. Cummins with 12 IT jobs and Mettler-Toledo International with 11 jobs, recorded a 52% decline and an 8.33% decrease, respectively, while Caterpillar recorded an increase of 33.33% with 8 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.49%, up by 38.71% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.13% share, registered an increase of 141.18% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 7.22% share, flat growth over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 5.15%, recording a month-on-month increase of 400%.
