The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 17.85% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 35.16% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s consumer industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Haier Group posted 43 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 51.14% over the previous month, followed by Lego with 7 jobs and a 250% growth. Puma with 3 IT jobs and Bose with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% growth, respectively, while McCain Foods recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.16%, down by 50.88% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.49% share, registered a decline of 37.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.9% share, down 50% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.45%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
