China’s consumer industry registered a 3.1% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.08% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.06% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.66% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.24% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s consumer industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 77.86% in September 2021, registering a 19.05% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.74% share, a decrease of 28% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 6.11%, registering a 33.33% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 0.76%, down 75% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.28% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s consumer industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Haier Group posted 88 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 8.33% over the previous month, followed by Anheuser-Busch InBev with 6 jobs and a flat growth. By-health with 5 IT jobs and Shanghai Jahwa United with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while TCL Technology Group recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 84.73%, down by 25.5% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 12.21% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.05% share, down 33.33% over August 2021.
