China’s consumer industry registered a 5.5% drop in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.42% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.36% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.02% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s consumer industry in February 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 83.51% in February 2022, registering a 10% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.25% share, a decrease of 11.11% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 3.09%, registering a 200% rise from January 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 3.09%, up 50% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1.1% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s consumer industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Haier Group posted 82 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a drop of 3.53% over the previous month, followed by Signify with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Hasbro with 2 IT jobs and Jason Furniture (Hangzhou) with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while VF recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.51%, down by 16.49% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.31% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.19% share, up 200% over January 2022.
