Cummins’s IT hiring activity declines 10.3% in March 2022

US-based company Cummins IT hiring declined 10.3% in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 2.78% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 12.28% share in the company’s total hiring activity in March 2022, and recorded a 0.78% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Cummins IT hiring in March 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Cummins, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 41.03% in March 2022, and a 4.76% drop over February 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 36.41% in March 2022, and registered growth of 18.33%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 8.21% in March 2022, a 166.67% rise from February 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Cummins

North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in March 2022 with a 64.1% share, which marked a 5.3% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 26.15%, registering an 88.89% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 7.69% share and a 7.14% rise over February 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.05% and a month-on-month increase of 300%.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 56.92% share in March 2022, an 11.2% decline over February 2022. India featured next with an 18.97% share, up 1750% over the previous month. China recorded a 6.15% share, a decline of 52% compared with February 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Cummins IT hiring activity in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.44%, up by 17.05% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.41% share, a decline of 3.03% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.15% share, down 14.29% over February 2022.
