July 2022 has seen a decrease of 1.74% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 5.71% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 33.83% in July 2022, a 10.11% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 28.89% in July 2022, marking a 13.5% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 15.64% in July 2022, a 0.45% rise from June 2022.

Top five construction companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 15.06% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s construction industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Johnson Controls International posted 116 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Vinci with 78 jobs and a 37.6% drop. Bilfinger with 66 IT jobs and Kier Group with 52 jobs, recorded a 4.35% drop and an 8.77% drop, respectively, while Danfoss recorded a 22.95% decline with 47 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s construction industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 37.7% share in July 2022, an 8.3% increase over June 2022. Germany featured next with a 12.47% share, down 10.15% over the previous month. France recorded a 9.73% share, a drop of 21.59% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.82%, up by 0.2% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.34% share, registered a decline of 9.56% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.35% share, down 5.85% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.49%, recording a month-on-month decline of 56.25%.
