IT jobs accounted for a 5.46% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2022, registering a decrease of 0.16% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in September 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 35.52% in September 2022, a 23.65% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 33.02% in September 2022, marking a 0.54% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 16.33% in September 2022, a 1.44% drop from August 2022.

Top five construction companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 29.8% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s construction industry during September 2022 over previous month.
Kier Group posted 159 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a decline of 12.15% over the previous month, followed by Vinci with 138 jobs and a 46.81% growth. Bouygues with 83 IT jobs and Nexans with 70 jobs, recorded an 112.82% rise and an 118.75% rise, respectively, while Eberspacher Climate Control Systems GmbHKG recorded a 28% increase with 64 job postings during September 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s construction industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 35.82% share in September 2022, a 7.11% decrease over August 2022. France featured next with a 14% share, up 63.19% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 13.29% share, a drop of 11.16% compared with August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.71%, up by 7.96% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.92% share, registered a growth of 13.23% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.71% share, down 4.68% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.42%, recording a month-on-month decline of 69.57%.
