March 2022 has seen an increase of 7.56% in the overall hiring activity when compared with February 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 5.59% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in March 2022, registering a decrease of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in March 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 57.64% in March 2022, a 4.64% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 18.26% in March 2022, marking a 37.61% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 10.89% in March 2022, a 2.87% rise from February 2022.

Top five construction companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 73.19% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s construction industry during March 2022 over previous month.
Bouygues posted 147 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered an increase of 167.27% over the previous month, followed by Vinci with 114 jobs and a 96.55% growth. Honeywell International with 92 IT jobs and Eberspacher Climate Control Systems GmbHKG with 68 jobs, recorded a 142.11% rise and an 8.11% drop, respectively, while Wartsila recorded an 11.76% increase with 57 job postings during March 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s construction industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 25.44% share in March 2022, a 4.24% increase over February 2022. France featured next with a 16.68% share, up 87.67% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 16.25% share, a drop of 1.11% compared with February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.72%, up by 6.7% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.13% share, registered a growth of 12.77% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.54% share, flat growth over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.61%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
