France’s construction industry registered a 2.1% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.2% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.62% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.29% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry in August 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 35% in August 2022, registering a 22.22% decline over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 28.57% share, an increase of 29.03% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 21.43%, registering a 42.86% rise from July 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.86%, up 10% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 7.07% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Bouygues posted 40 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 21.21% over the previous month, followed by Nexans with 28 jobs and a 7.69% growth. Vinci with 24 IT jobs and Compagnie de Saint-Gobain with 7 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while SPIE recorded a decline of 46.15% with 7 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.43%, up by 3.61% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 20.71% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 17.86% share, down 13.79% over July 2022.
