France’s construction industry registered a 0.7% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.55% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.86% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.24% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.34% in September 2021, registering a 41.18% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.35% share, a decrease of 63.27% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.68%, registering a 55% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 4.23%, down 62.5% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 53.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Vinci posted 19 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 5.56% over the previous month, followed by Bouygues with 15 jobs and an 82.35% drop. Manitou BF with 12 IT jobs and Eiffage with 9 jobs, recorded a 36.84% decline and an 18.18% decrease, respectively, while Compagnie de Saint-Gobain recorded an increase of 300% with 8 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.06%, down by 54.24% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 14.08% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.86% share, down 53.33% over August 2021.
