France’s construction industry registered a 0.9% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.29% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.97% share in February 2022, recording a decrease of 0.14% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry in February 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.23% in February 2022, registering a 4.76% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 21.77% share, a decrease of 12.9% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.1%, registering an 11.76% decline from January 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 7.26%, down 10% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 15% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Bouygues posted 54 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 68.75% over the previous month, followed by Somfy with 12 jobs and a 25% drop. Eiffage with 11 IT jobs and SPIE with 8 jobs, recorded a 26.67% decline and a 38.46% decrease, respectively, while Compagnie de Saint-Gobain recorded an increase of 75% with 7 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.13%, down by 14.58% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.58% share, registered an increase of 300% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.29% share, down 30% over January 2022.
