The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.52% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.38% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 0.13% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 38.71% in May 2022, registering a 29.73% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 37.9% share, an increase of 67.86% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 12.1%, registering an 87.5% rise from April 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.84%, down 25% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 79.63% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry during May 2022 over April 2022.

Vinci posted 31 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a rise of 72.22% over the previous month, followed by Bouygues with 30 jobs and a 50% growth. Nexans with 14 IT jobs and SPIE with 11 jobs, recorded a 600% growth and a 175% growth, respectively, while Eiffage recorded an increase of 10% with 11 job postings during May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.48%, up by 58.21% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with an 8.87% share, registered an increase of 37.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.65% share, down 53.33% over April 2022.
