France’s consumer industry registered a 1.5% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.86% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.82% share in October 2021, recording a flat growth over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry in October 2021.
1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 44.83% in October 2021, registering a 5.41% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 44.83% share, a decrease of 29.09% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.9%, registering a 14.29% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 2.3%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 14.29% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton posted 28 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 12% over the previous month, followed by Unibel with 19 jobs and a 44.12% drop. L’Occitane International with 5 IT jobs and Pernod Ricard with 4 jobs, recorded a 150% growth and a 100% growth, respectively, while Hermes International recorded a decline of 42.86% with 4 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.01%, down by 17.28% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 13.79% share, registered an increase of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.2% share, down 20% over September 2021.
