France’s consumer industry registered a 4.9% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 11.07% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.98% share in February 2022, recording a decrease of 0.12% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry in February 2022.
1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 42.68% in February 2022, registering a 66.67% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 29.27% share, a decrease of 38.46% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 24.39%, registering a 20% decline from January 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 1.22%, down 75% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Unibel posted 14 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a drop of 46.15% over the previous month, followed by Christian Dior with 10 jobs and a 42.86% growth. Hermes International with 6 IT jobs and Mars with 6 jobs, recorded a 50% flat growth and a 200% flat growth, respectively, while L’Occitane International recorded an increase of 100% with 6 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.95%, down by 11.94% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.29% share, registered an increase of 7.14% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.76% share, down 20% over January 2022.
