US-based company General Electric’s IT hiring declined 0.7% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.62% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 15.37% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 0.55% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops General Electric IT hiring in October 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by General Electric, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 76.79% in October 2021, and a 17.31% drop over September 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 6.85% in October 2021, and registered a decline of 32.35%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 5.65% in October 2021, an 18.75% rise from September 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at General Electric

North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 49.11% share, which marked a 14.51% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 30.06%, registering a 26.28% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 19.05% share and a 9.86% drop over September 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.79% and a month-on-month increase of 100%.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 37.8% share in October 2021, a 27.01% decline over September 2021. India featured next with a 23.81% share, down 30.43% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 10.71% share, an increase of 111.76% compared with September 2021.

Mid Level jobs lead General Electric IT hiring activity in October 2021

Mid Level jobs held a share of 45.54%, up by 3.38% from September 2021. Junior Level positions with a 44.05% share, a decline of 31.16% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.42% share, down 14.63% over September 2021.
