General Electric’s IT hiring activity declines 14.0% in July 2022

US-based company General Electric’s IT hiring declined 14.0% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 11.2% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.01% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 1.17% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops General Electric IT hiring in July 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by General Electric, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64.52% in July 2022, and a 67.21% drop over June 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 17.2% in July 2022, and registered a decline of 58.97%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 12.9% in July 2022, a 20% rise from June 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at General Electric

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 38.71% share, which marked a 70.49% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 29.03%, registering an 18.18% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 27.96% share and a 73.47% drop over June 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.15% and a month-on-month flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.15%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 34.41% share in July 2022, a 71.68% decline over June 2022. US featured next with an 18.28% share, down 79.76% over the previous month. Mexico recorded an 8.6% share, a decline of 38.46% compared with June 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead General Electric IT hiring activity in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.61%, down by 61.9% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 39.78% share, a decline of 64.08% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.6% share, down 70.37% over June 2022.
