US-based company General Electric’s IT hiring declined 8.9% in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.12% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 7.82% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 1.24% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops General Electric IT hiring in November 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by General Electric, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 62.73% in November 2022, and a flat growth over October 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 15% in November 2022, and registered a decline of 2.94%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 13.18% in November 2022, a 61.11% rise from October 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at General Electric

North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in November 2022 with a 38.18% share, which marked a 5% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 33.64%, registering a 9.76% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 26.82% share and a 9.26% rise over October 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.91% and a month-on-month increase of 100%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.45%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 30.45% share in November 2022, an 8.22% decline over October 2022. India featured next with a 24.09% share, down 15.87% over the previous month. The UK recorded an 8.64% share, an increase of 35.71% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead General Electric IT hiring activity in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.18%, up by 0.86% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 35.91% share, a decline of 15.05% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.91% share, up 166.67% over October 2022.
