Germany’s construction industry IT recruitment activity drops 0.1% in September 2022

Germany’s construction industry registered a 0.1% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.87% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.49% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s construction industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 55.61% in September 2022, registering a 0.8% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 19.28% share, a decrease of 48.81% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.9%, registering a 24% rise from August 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.48%, up 11.11% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 25.23% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s construction industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Eberspacher Climate Control Systems GmbHKG posted 64 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 28% over the previous month, followed by Vinci with 37 jobs and a 12.12% growth. Bilfinger with 19 IT jobs and PERI with 7 jobs, recorded an 11.76% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Liebherr-International recorded a flat growth with 7 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.2%, up by 2.15% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.31% share, registered a decline of 41.03% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.59% share, down 50% over August 2022.
