The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.86% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.58% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.55% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.63% in July 2022, registering an 8.14% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 20.9% share, a decrease of 32.73% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 18.08%, registering a 190.91% rise from June 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 11.3%, down 45.95% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 6.1% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s construction industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Johnson Controls International posted 30 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Bilfinger with 23 jobs and a flat growth. Vinci with 17 IT jobs and Liebherr-International with 9 jobs, recorded a 46.88% decline and a 10% decrease, respectively, while Eberspacher Climate Control Systems GmbHKG recorded a decline of 52.94% with 8 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.01%, down by 0.76% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.56% share, registered an increase of 26.32% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.43% share, down 48.84% over June 2022.
