Germany’s construction industry IT recruitment activity rises 6.1% in August 2022

Germany’s construction industry registered a 6.1% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 10.24% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.39% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.46% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s construction industry in August 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 49.57% in August 2022, registering a 38.1% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 32.48% share, an increase of 111.11% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.11%, registering a 23.81% rise from July 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.85%, down 73.53% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 189.58% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s construction industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

Eberspacher Climate Control Systems GmbHKG posted 40 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 400% over the previous month, followed by Vinci with 33 jobs and a 94.12% growth. Knauf Group with 29 IT jobs and Wacker Neuson with 21 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Bilfinger recorded a decline of 30.43% with 16 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.63%, up by 40.46% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.96% share, registered an increase of 52.17% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.41% share, down 48.28% over July 2022.
