Germany’s consumer industry registered a 5.2% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.34% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.74% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 0.08% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.75% in October 2021, registering a 2% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 21.25% share, a decrease of 10.53% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.75%, registering a 61.11% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12.9% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Fujitsu General posted 10 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 50% over the previous month, followed by Dr. August Oetker with 7 jobs and a 600% growth. The Swatch Group with 7 IT jobs and Hugo Boss with 6 jobs, recorded a 16.67% growth and a 500% growth, respectively, while Nestle recorded an increase of 66.67% with 5 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.25%, down by 22.06% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.5% share, registered an increase of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 15% share, down 42.86% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.25%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
