Germany’s consumer industry IT recruitment activity rises 0.7% in March 2022

Germany’s consumer industry registered a 0.7% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 15.76% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.74% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 0.58% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 61.11% in March 2022, registering a 67.39% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.46% share, a decrease of 24.14% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.7%, registering a 23.81% decline from February 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.56%, down 22.22% over the previous month.

Top five consumer companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 2.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

HelloFresh posted 31 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 19.23% over the previous month. Fujitsu General with 14 IT jobs and Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 8 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 33.33% growth, respectively, while Essity recorded an increase of 500% with 6 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.22%, up by 2.25% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.87% share, registered an increase of 17.65% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.9% share, up 36.36% over February 2022.
