US-based company Jones Lang LaSalle’s IT hiring declined 16.9% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 6.07% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 4.62% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.84% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Jones Lang LaSalle IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Jones Lang LaSalle, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 59.46% in September 2021, and a 26.92% rise over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 18.92% in September 2021, and registered a decline of 16%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 16.22% in September 2021, a 38.46% rise from August 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Jones Lang LaSalle

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 47.75% share, which marked a 20.45% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 42.34%, registering a 6.82% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 6.31% share and a 41.67% drop over August 2021.

In the fourth place was Haryana with a share of 1.8% and a month-on-month flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.8%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 41.44% share in September 2021, a 12.2% growth over August 2021. India featured next with a 33.33% share, up 48% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 9.91% share, an increase of 10% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Jones Lang LaSalle IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, up by 4.23% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.42% share, a growth of 85.71% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.91% share, down 35.29% over August 2021.
