Japan-based company Komatsu ’s IT hiring declined 13.5% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 6.17% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 12.19% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 1.16% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Komatsu IT hiring in February 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Komatsu , Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 73.44% in February 2022, and a 16.62% drop over January 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 6.78% in February 2022, and registered flat growth. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 6.23% in February 2022, a 4.55% rise from January 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at Komatsu
North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 94.04% share, which marked a 9.4% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 5.96%, registering a 57.69% month-on-month decline.
Canada commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 53.12% share in February 2022, a 17.37% growth over January 2022. US featured next with a 40.38% share, down 29.72% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 5.96% share, an increase of 46.67% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Komatsu IT hiring activity in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.11%, down by 15.84% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.34% share, a decline of 12.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.55% share, down 18.03% over January 2022.
