Mexico’s construction industry registered a 0.8% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.76% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.86% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 0.14% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.04% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s construction industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 57.69% in March 2022, registering a 22.45% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.46% share, a decrease of 22.22% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.54%, registering a 71.43% rise from February 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 10.58%, up 37.5% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 35.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s construction industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Honeywell International posted 44 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 109.52% over the previous month, followed by NANA RegionalInc with 13 jobs and a 333.33% growth. Cummins with 8 IT jobs and Black & Veatch with 6 jobs, recorded a 60% growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while General Electric recorded a decline of 68.42% with 6 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.54%, up by 14.29% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.12% share, registered an increase of 76.92% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.42% share, down 21.05% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.92%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
