Mexico’s construction industry registered a 1.4% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.27% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.5% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.22% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.51% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s construction industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.78% in September 2022, registering a 66.67% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 26.87% share, an increase of 20% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 14.93%, registering a 9.09% decline from August 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 7.46%, up 25% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 111.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s construction industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
General Electric posted 16 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 700% over the previous month, followed by Black & Veatch with 7 jobs and a flat growth. Honeywell International with 6 IT jobs and CDM Smith with 5 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Eaton Corporation recorded a decline of 20% with 4 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.18%, up by 2.38% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.39% share, registered an increase of 36.36% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10.45% share, up 75% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.99%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
