Mexico’s construction industry registered a 13.0% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.08% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.06% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 1.7% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s construction industry in February 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.29% in February 2022, registering a 32.61% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 24.29% share, an increase of 54.55% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 11.43%, registering a 33.33% rise from January 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10%, down 12.5% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 16.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s construction industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Honeywell International posted 21 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a drop of 30% over the previous month, followed by Black & Veatch with 8 jobs and a 300% growth. Cummins with 5 IT jobs and Rockwell Automation with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.33% flat growth, respectively, while Eaton Corporation recorded an increase of 300% with 4 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70%, down by 9.26% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.14% share, registered a decline of 47.83% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10% share, down 36.36% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.86%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
