Top five construction companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 150% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s construction industry during September 2022 over previous month.

Dar Al-Handasah Consultants Shair and Partners Holdings posted 14 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Majid Al Futtaim Holding with 8 jobs and a 60% growth. Johnson Controls International with 5 IT jobs and The First Group with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Honeywell International recorded a 55.56% decline with 4 job postings during September 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s construction industry

United Arab Emirates commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 33.8% share in September 2022, a 140% increase over August 2022. Egypt featured next with an 11.27% share, up 14.29% over the previous month. South Africa recorded a 9.86% share, a growth of 75% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.2%, up by 56.67% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.35% share, registered a growth of 28.57% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.45% share, up 100% over August 2022.
