Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 47.3% in December 2021, a 9.38% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 18.92% in December 2021, marking a 6.67% month-on-month decline. Top five construction companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 100% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s construction industry during December 2021 over previous month.

Honeywell International posted 12 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered an increase of 20% over the previous month, followed by Rockwell Automation with 11 jobs and a flat growth. SNC-Lavalin Group with 6 IT jobs and Tetra Tech with 6 jobs, recorded a 20% rise and a 20% rise, respectively, while CDM Smith recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during December 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s construction industry

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 25.68% share in December 2021, a 171.43% increase over November 2021. United Arab Emirates featured next with an 18.92% share, up 40% over the previous month. Saudi Arabia recorded a 13.51% share, a drop of 56.52% compared with November 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.11%, up by 26.47% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 29.73% share, registered a growth of 15.79% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.16% share, up 28.57% over November 2021.
