Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 42.86% in February 2022, a 28.57% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 33.33% in February 2022, marking a 22.22% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.52% in February 2022, a 100% rise from January 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 128.57% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s consumer industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Edita Food Industries posted 9 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Scandinavian Tobacco Group with 3 jobs and a 50% drop. PepsiCo with 2 IT jobs and Philip Morris International with 1 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Danone recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s consumer industry
Egypt commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 47.62% share in February 2022, a 400% increase over January 2022. South Africa featured next with a 28.57% share, down 60% over the previous month. Algeria recorded a 4.76% share, a flat growth compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.95%, up by 6.25% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.29% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.76% share, down 66.67% over January 2022.
