February 2022 has seen an increase of 6.38% in the overall hiring activity when compared with January 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.19% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in February 2022, registering an increase of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 42.86% in February 2022, a 28.57% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 33.33% in February 2022, marking a 22.22% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.52% in February 2022, a 100% rise from January 2022.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 9.52% in February 2022, a 71.43% decline over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 128.57% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s consumer industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Edita Food Industries posted 9 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Scandinavian Tobacco Group with 3 jobs and a 50% drop. PepsiCo with 2 IT jobs and Philip Morris International with 1 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Danone recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s consumer industry
Egypt commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 47.62% share in February 2022, a 400% increase over January 2022. South Africa featured next with a 28.57% share, down 60% over the previous month. Algeria recorded a 4.76% share, a flat growth compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.95%, up by 6.25% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.29% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.76% share, down 66.67% over January 2022.
