Philippines construction industry registered a 30.1% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.87% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.16% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 7.94% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Philippines construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines construction industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.32% in September 2021, registering a 6.52% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.24% share, a decrease of 6.25% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 13.79%, registering a 36.84% decline from August 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 8.05%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in Philippines IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 15.69% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines construction industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Manulife US Real Estate Investment Trust posted 70 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 22.22% over the previous month, followed by Jones Lang LaSalle with 11 jobs and a 10% growth. Aurecon Group with 2 IT jobs and Fluor with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Colliers International Group recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.41%, down by 19.23% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with an 18.39% share, registered a decline of 23.81% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.2% share, down 11.11% over August 2021.
