Signify’s IT hiring activity rises 27.1% in February 2022

Netherlands-based company Signify’s IT hiring rose 27.1% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 6.32% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 14.5% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 2.99% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Signify IT hiring in February 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Signify, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 80% in February 2022, and a 9.09% rise over January 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 10% in February 2022, and registered a decline of 57.14%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 5% in February 2022, a 200% rise from January 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Signify

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global consumer IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 41.67% share, which marked a 78.57% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 30%, registering a 28% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 26.67% share and a 30.43% drop over January 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.67% and a month-on-month flat growth.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 31.67% share in February 2022, a 280% growth over January 2022. US featured next with an 18.33% share, down 45% over the previous month. Netherlands recorded an 11.67% share, a decline of 58.82% compared with January 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Signify IT hiring activity in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.33%, up by 15.15% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.33% share, a decline of 15% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.33% share, down 44.44% over January 2022.
