The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 293.33% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s construction industry during December 2021 over previous month.

Rockwell Automation posted 34 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by 3M with 14 jobs and a 40% growth. Tetra Tech with 4 IT jobs and MRV Engenharia e Participacoes with 4 jobs, recorded a 300% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while ABB recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during December 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s construction industry

Colombia commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 37.97% share in December 2021, a 275% increase over November 2021. Brazil featured next with a 22.78% share, down 18.18% over the previous month. Costa Rica recorded a 17.72% share, a growth of 16.67% compared with November 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.7%, up by 37.5% from November 2021. Entry Level positions with a 27.85% share, registered a growth of 37.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.46% share, up 85.71% over November 2021.
