Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 57.45% in October 2021, a 12.5% rise over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 14.89% in October 2021, marking a 40% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 10.64% in October 2021, a 66.67% rise from September 2021.

3M posted 14 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered an increase of 133.33% over the previous month, followed by ABB with 6 jobs and a flat growth. MRV Engenharia e Participacoes with 5 IT jobs and Eaton Corporation with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 25% drop, respectively, while Cyrela Brazil RealtyEmpreendimentos e Participacoes recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during October 2021.

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 38.3% share in October 2021, a 10% decrease over September 2021. Costa Rica featured next with a 29.79% share, up 133.33% over the previous month. Colombia recorded an 8.51% share, a growth of 100% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.83%, up by 66.67% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 25.53% share, registered a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.64% share, down 54.55% over September 2021.
