Switzerland’s construction industry registered a 10.4% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.38% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 1.12% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 106.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s construction industry in February 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 55.56% in February 2022, registering a 13.64% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 37.78% share, an increase of 78.95% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 6.67%, registering a 200% rise from January 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.56%, down 44.44% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 24.62% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s construction industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Alpiq Anlagentechnik posted 62 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 5.08% over the previous month, followed by ABB with 7 jobs and a 600% growth. Sulzer with 5 IT jobs and Johnson Controls International with 4 jobs, recorded a 25% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Gruner recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.78%, flat growth from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.44% share, registered an increase of 550% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.78% share, down 12.5% over January 2022.
