Switzerland’s consumer industry registered a 43.2% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 35.57% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.6% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.44% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 101.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s consumer industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 64.06% in March 2022, registering a 141.18% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.19% share, an increase of 450% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.5%, registering a flat growth from February 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 4.69%, down 25% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 176.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s consumer industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Nestle posted 35 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 400% over the previous month, followed by The Swatch Group with 11 jobs and a flat growth. Compagnie Financiere Richemont with 6 IT jobs and Columbia Sportswear with 3 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Japan Tobacco recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.75%, up by 76% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.44% share, registered an increase of 275% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.81% share, up 66.67% over February 2022.
