The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.99% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.6% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.

Top five construction companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 29.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s construction industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Kier Group posted 50 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 12.28% over the previous month, followed by Ferrovial with 40 jobs and a 400% growth. The British Land Co with 37 IT jobs and Danfoss with 37 jobs, recorded a 48% growth and a 15.91% decrease, respectively, while Mott MacDonald Group recorded an increase of 83.33% with 33 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.65%, up by 11.5% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.25% share, registered an increase of 14.44% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.97% share, down 7.69% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.12%, recording a month-on-month decline of 53.85%.
