Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.98% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.62% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 134.2% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s construction industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

CDM Smith posted 1,406 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 398.58% over the previous month, followed by Black & Veatch with 752 jobs and a 104.35% growth. Deere with 170 IT jobs and Komatsu with 145 jobs, recorded a 78.95% growth and a 36.96% decrease, respectively, while Honeywell International recorded a decline of 2.16% with 136 job postings during October 2022.

Mid Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Mid Level jobs held a share of 51.86%, up by 142.96% from September 2022. Junior Level positions with a 32.62% share, registered a decline of 27.14% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.64% share, down 33.11% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 6.87%, recording a month-on-month increase of 469.09%.
