The project involves the construction of an 11-story inpatient facility in a 3.25ha area in Birmingham, Alabama, US

The project includes the following:

1. Construction of speech therapy rooms2. Construction of a 14,399m2 patient care3. Construction of 78 inpatient rehabilitation beds4. Construction of 28 acute care neurology beds5. Construction of a pharmacy6. Construction of therapy gyms7. Construction of an office facility8. Construction of a therapy courtyard9. Construction of inpatient wings10. Construction of a cafeteria11. Construction of 7,432m2 of parking facilities12. Construction of an emergency service unit13. Installation of safety and security systems

Construction on the project, spread across 3 hectares, is expected to be completed by Q4 2025.

Owners of the project include the US-based University of Alabama.

the US-based Williams Blackstock Architects, PC is the architect and engineering design consultant for the Birmingham Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, while University of Alabama at Birmingham is the planning authority.
