Here are the largest retail building construction projects initiated globally in Q2 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Bestfield Commercial Development – $425m

The project involves the construction of three 22-story commercial towers on 9.7ha of land at Netaji Subash Place in New Delhi, India.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q1 2026.

The project aims to provide better commercial and office facilities in the region.

2. Park Habitat Commercial Tower – $250m

The project involves the construction of a 111,484m2, 20-story commercial tower in San Jose, California, the US.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to finish in Q3 2024.

The project aims to meet the demand for the office facilities in the region.

3. Society Atlanta Mixed-Use Tower – $120m

The project involves the construction of a 31-story mixed-use tower in Atlanta, Georgia.

4. Nexum Retail Park Shopping Center – $115m

The project’s aim is to meet the growing demand for retail, hotel, student apartments and office facilities in the region.

5. Plaza Multicomercial Queretaro – $73m

The project involves the construction of a commercial plaza at Boulevard Bernardo Quintana, in Queretaro, Mexico.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2024.

The project expects to serve 140,000 people and more than 80,000 families that live in the area.
