Here are the top five commercial and leisure construction projects that commenced in France in Q2 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Yves-du-Manoir Stadium Renovation – $101m

The project involves the renovation of the Yves-du-Manoir stadium in Colombes, Ile-de-France region.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.

The project aims to be certified E3C1 level and E+C label (high energy performance and reduced carbon footprint).

2. Grenoble Grand Place Shopping Center Expansion – $64m

The project involves the expansion of a two-story 19,000m2 Grand Place shopping center on a 5.2ha of land in Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to finish in Q4 2023.

The shopping center expansion is the second phase and final stage of the metamorphosis of Grand’Place.

3. Alpes The Style Outlet Centre – $50m

The project involves the construction of a 20,400m2 shopping center in Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q4 2024.

The purpose of the project is to cater to the growing shopping requirements and to improve the quality of life in the region.

4. Marville Aquatic Center Development – $37m

The project involves the construction of a Marville Aquatic Center on a 4,600m2 area in Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis district, Ile-de-France region.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.

The purpose of the project is to construct a new aquatic center for a dual purpose: it will host water polo training during the Paris 2024 Games, and it will be used by school children and local residents after the events.

5. Third Data Center – $24m

The project involves the construction of a third data center on a 6,500m2 area on a 1.4ha of land in the 8th Arrondissement of Lyon, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q2 2023.

The new datacenter will be interconnected with leading international operators as well as national and regional operators, and is specialized in smart cities and the challenges of AI and big data.
