Top five commercial and leisure construction projects that commenced in India in Q2 2022

Here are the top five commercial and leisure construction projects that commenced in India in Q2 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Bestfield Commercial Development – $425m

The project involves the construction of three 22-story commercial towers on 9.7ha of land at Netaji Subash Place in New Delhi.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q1 2026.

The project aims to provide better commercial and office facilities in the region.

2. Taurus Downtown Technopark – $197m

The project involves the construction of a technopark on 7.98ha of land near the Kerala University Campus on the National Highway 47 and NY By-pass at Palayam in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to finish in Q4 2024.

Once completed the project will generate 25,000 direct and 75,000 indirect employment opportunities.

3. Guwahati Rated-4 Edge Data Center – $100m

The project involves the construction of a Rated-4 Edge Data Center of 2,000 racks on 1.2ha with a consumption capacity of 10MW in Guwahati, Assam.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q1 2024.

The project aims to provide best-in-class colocation services to users and to support the Government of Assam, enterprises, and SMEs across the Northeast.

4. Gurugram Office Building – $70m

The project involves the construction of an 185,806m2 office building in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q2 2024.

The project aims to encash revival in demand for premium workspace from corporates and co-working operators.

5. Nadaun Data Center – $59m

The project involves the construction of a data center on 9.71ha of land in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.

The project aims to deliver high-end cloud computing services and cached data to end-users and to generate employment opportunities for the youth in the state.
