Five largest construction projects initiated in Brazil in Q3 2022

Here are the five largest construction projects initiated in Brazil during Q3 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. BR-116/101/SP/RJ Upgrade – $4,142m

The project involves the upgrade of a 625.8km BR-116/101/SP/RJ highway in Brazil.

Construction work started in Q3 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2030.

The project aims to enhance the transportation facilities in the region.

2. Santana do Livramento Coxilha Negra Wind Park 356 MW – $942m

The project involves the construction of a 531MW Mendubim Solar power complex on a 1,200ha area in Açu, Rio Grande do Norte.

Construction work commenced in Q3 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.

The objective of the project is to increase the solar power generation capacity and meet the growing power demand.

5. Contagem Inova Parque Mixed-Use Development – $254m

The project involves the construction of the Inova Parque mixed-use complex on a 3.7ha area in Contagem, Minas Gerais.

Construction work started in Q3 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2029.

The project aims to provide better residential and commercial facilities in the region.
