Europe’s five largest multi-family housing construction projects that commenced in Q2 2022

Here are Europe’s five largest multi-family housing construction projects that were initiated in Q2 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Clapham Park Regeneration: Phase II – $2,039m

The project involves the construction of a residential community comprising 2,400 multi-story homes ranging up to 14-story on 36ha of land in South London, Greater London, The UK.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2025.

The project aims to demolish 864 residential homes and 614m2 of non-residential floorspace to provide better residential facilities in the region. The project will be developed across 16 sites within the scheme.

2. Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo Residential Complex Sky Garden – $609m

The project involves the construction of a business class residential complex on 4.7ha of land in Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo, northwest of Moscow, Russia.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to finish in Q4 2025.

The aim of the project is to provide business-class residential facilities in the region.

3. Thurgauerstrasse West Mixed-Use Complex – $297m

The project involves the construction of the Leutschenbach-Quartier mixed-use complex on a 65,000m2 area in Zurich, Switzerland.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q4 2025.

The aim of the project is to meet the growing requirement of mixed-use facilities in Zurich.

4. Manor Road Quarter Mixed-use Community – $250m

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use development community in Canning Town, London Borough of Newham, England, the UK.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2024.

The project site comprises Manor Road Retail Park and the former HSS site, and it’s close to the junction of Barking Road and the A13 Newham Way.

5. Hochmuttinger Straße Residential Quarter – $225m

The project includes the construction of the Hochmuttinger Strasse residential quarter on an 8.4ha area in Munich-Feldmoching, Bavaria, Germany.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2025.

The project aims to build an affordable ecological housing quarter. The project will be built according to the Efficiency House 55 standard.
