Here are Europe’s five largest single-family housing construction projects that were initiated in Q2 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Granton Waterfront Residential Community – $1,686m

The project involves the construction of a residential community comprising 3,500 homes on 140ha of land in Granton, Edinburgh, Scotland, the UK.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2037.

The project aims to transform the Granton waterfront site to provide better housing facilities in the region.

2. Lockleaze Estate Regeneration and Housing Delivery – $247m

The project involves the construction of a residential community comprising 800 residential units on 16ha of land in Bristol, the UK.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to finish in Q4 2025.

The project aims to meet the growing demand for housing in the region.

3. Silk District Mixed-Use Community – $224m

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q4 2026.

The project aims to provide A-grade office component with BREEAM Excellent certification, high-quality apartments, commercial and retail facilities.

4. Herne Bay Residential Community – $184m

The project involves the construction of a residential community on 23ha of land in Kent, England, the Uk.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2025.

The main aim of the project is to provide a residential community in the region.

5. Beaumont Green Residential Community – $120m

The project involves the construction of a residential community comprising 340 homes in Lancashire, the UK.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2025.

The project aims to meet the residential demand in the region.
