Five largest construction projects initiated in Poland in Q2 2022

Here are the five largest construction projects initiated in Poland during Q2 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. S19 Expressway: Rzeszow Poludnie to Babica – $515m

The project involves the construction of a 10.3km dual carriageway road section on the S19 expressway from Rzeszow Poludnie-Babica, Subcarpathian Voivodeship.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2026.

The project aims to provide better transportation and commuting facilities in the region.

2. Zagan poviat Logistics Center – $322m

The project involves the construction of a logistics center on a 15,000m2 area in Lubusz.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to finish in Q4 2023.

The project aims to provide a logistics center. It will be one of Hermes’ largest hubs in Europe and will be used for the order picking operations of the e-commerce companies of the Otto Group and for value-added services (VAS). The majority of the orders processed will include clothing, textiles, jewellery, toys and small household appliances.

3. Nowa Przystan Housing Complex – $100m

The project involves the construction of three nine-story residential buildings, comprising 500 apartments in a 12,000m2 area in West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q3 2025.

The project aims to provide a waterfront residential building, it will be the most beautiful place in the city.

4. Korytnica II Wind Farm 50.4 MW – $70m

The project involves the construction of a wind farm of 50.4 MW in Warsaw, Masovian Voivodeship.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q1 2023.

The project aims to generate power through renewable sources and address the growing demand for power in the region.

5. Gliwice Park Warehouse Complex – $70m

The project involves the construction of a warehouse complex of 52,000 m2 across an area of 13.4 ha in Gliwice, Silesian Voivodeship.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q2 2023.

The project aims to provide better warehousing facilities in the region, and it is to be designed and built according to BREEAM New Construction ‘Excellent’ standards, it will use 95 percent of recyclable materials for construction and solar PV panels will be installed on the roof.
