Hammersmith & Fulham Council and its joint venture (JV) partner A2Dominion have selected Ardmore to deliver a new mixed-use development in West London, UK.
Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners, the Hammersmith Civic Campus scheme will have 204 new homes and is being developed by A2Dominion in JV with Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

Under the contract, Ardmore will renovate and extend the existing Grade II-listed Town Hall building located at the heart of the Civic Campus scheme, to provide over 15,000m² of office and public space.
Ardmore will also deliver over 10,000m² of commercial space and create an additional 4,500m² internal area within a contemporary three-storey ‘Glass Box’ extension.
The new ‘Glass Box’, which sits above the existing Town Hall, comprises 1,300t of structural steel. It is supported on a series of 15m-high stilts that punch down through the existing building and courtyard.
Ardmore said that additional internal space is created by the newly enclosed courtyard for a new glazed scenic lift and link bridges, providing new connections.

“Having delivered some of London’s most complex listed-building refurbishment and residential regeneration projects, we were able to develop practical, cost-effective solutions to help unlock this challenging project.”
Construction has already commenced on the main contract, which is worth £155m.
The mixed-use scheme will feature several amenities including a cinema, art gallery space and a rooftop bar and café to the heart of Hammersmith.
