Caesars Entertainment brand Caesars Palace, a luxury hotel and casino in the US, has announced plans to renovate its original main entrance, main casino and porte-cochère.

The work is expected to create an ‘extravagant entryway’, redesigned gaming areas and a new lobby bar.

With construction planned to commence this month, most of the project is slated for completion by New Year’s Eve.

The renovated main entrance will feature a 15ft-tall statue of Augustus Caesar, a high dome and barreled ceiling and two redesigned gaming areas.

Caesars Entertainment regional president Sean McBurney said: “Caesars Palace brought a sense of grandeur to the Las Vegas Strip when it was built in 1966 and we’re proud to continue that legacy with a full reimagining of our main entrance.

“Completely rebuilding the front entrance of one of the world’s most iconic destinations is no small task, and we’re excited to get started and create a stunning new visual welcome for our guests.”

Work on the property’s main entrance will involve entire rebuilding from the ground up to create an arrival experience for guests that would match the glamour of the iconic hotel lobby at the property, Caesars said.

Additionally, the project includes two new gaming pits that will flank the renovated entrance.

It also includes the creation of a new lobby bar and renovation of the domed table games floor at the property.

During the renovation period, Caesars plans to relocate rideshare pick-up and drop-off to the exit doors next to Vanderpump Cocktail Garden.

While the Colosseum valet will accommodate valet guests, the main valet off Las Vegas Blvd. would accommodate members of Caesars Rewards Diamond and Seven Star only.

Moreover, Caesars plans to place the express hotel check-in/check-out kiosks at all available entrances during the renovation phase.
